Digital X-rays
Digital Radiolographs allow us to enhance the x-rays taken for better viewing, with the capabilities to measure tumors, hearts, puppies etc.
Ultrasound We have monitoring equipment to monitor the patient while under anesthesia along with highly trained registered veterinary technicians to provide patient care before, during and after surgeries. Many of our surgeries can be done with a CO2 Laser. Using a laser offers less pain, bleeding and swelling so the patient can quickly return to normal activities. Discuss with the veterinarian if using the laser would be beneficial during your pet's surgery.
Ultrasound examinations allow us to visualize internal organs, which aids us in making a diagnosis without invasive procedures. We can use the ultrasound to guide a needle or biopsy instrument to the exact placement for collection of tissue or body fluid samples. It also allows the veterinarian to look for pregnancy in dogs and cats.

Endoscopic Exams
Endoscopy exams are performed while the patient is under general anesthesia. The endoscope allows the doctor to view areas such as, the inside of the patient's stomach, intestines, or nasal passages to look for tumors, foreign bodies, take biopsies, etc. This is done to hopefully avoid performing more invasive surgery.
PennHIP & OFA X-rays
The PennHIP method is a unique way of positioning the patient on the x-ray table, so that by applying a special distraction apparatus, the maximum amount of hip laxity can be measured. This information can tell us early on if the patient may develop hip dysplasia. PennHIP can only be performed by a veterinarian who had been certified.

The OFA method for detection and assessment of hip joint irregularities and changes. The patient is positioned on their back with the back legs extended and their knees rotated inward. The patient's hips are evaluated based on breed, sex, age and approximately 9 different anatomic areas of the hip. The x-rays are sent to a board certified radiologist to be read.
